A workshop are usually a brief intensive educational program for a relatively small group of people, that focuses especially on techniques and skills in a particular field. This group of people, with the same interests, normally gather to discuss and research on a specific topic or project. It’s one of the company’s strategies to improve the skills and abilities of their employees. Employees’ skills directly affect the company’s business. The more skills an employee has, the greater the impact on that individual’s performance. Therefore, the function of the workshop is to offer a space for discussion and problem-solving. In addition, the workshop’s purpose is to provide training to participants by presenting presenters who are experts in their fields.
On the other hand, there are companies who offer workshops where everybody can come, not just employees/members. Their purpose is to improve the expertise of each individual and gain profit from it. They can gain the profit from the sold tickets, the services offered inside, etc.
Some advantages is that participants will get broad and in-depth theoretical explanations. Moreover, they will also get practical instructions for carrying out their duties. Also, not to forget, workshops can also work as a space for open discussions and networking.
